Holocaust Museum Excursion
Understanding the Holocaust : Enrichment
On Tuesday, the students of 9G and 9H visited the Holocaust Museum as part of the Understanding the Holocaust Enrichment. Over the course of the year, all year 9 and 10 students have learnt about the political, social and historical factors that led to the Holocaust.
The students completed a guided tour of the museum, which centred on the themes of loss, resistance, and return to life. The students were incredibly fortunate to listen to the experiences of Abram Goldberg, a Holocaust survivor who recently celebrated his 100th birthday. It was pleasing to see so many of our students ask insightful questions to learn more about Abe’s life before, during, and after the Second World War. The students were moved when listening to Abe’s experiences at Auschwitz.
Thank you to all the students of 9G and 9H for your wonderful behaviour and personification of the school's values.
