Junkyard Beats

Today our school hosted Tom and Callista from Junkyard Beats. They\ duo performed for the whole school in the morning and ran musical workshops with each year group throughout the day. Junkyard Beats is a musical company who create instruments and music from found and discarded objects. 

This incursion was not only linked to Arts and STEM but also our SEL curriculum. Students worked together, listened and shared percussion ideas in a large group setting and performed in an orchestra style drumming session.

Thank you to all the students for the enthusiasm, participation and welcoming manner you showed through out the day.
