Diwali – 15 November:  A reminder that next Friday we will celebrate Diwali at CJC with Indian sweets, samosas and Mango Lassi. We hope that everyone can join us to celebrate the festival of light. 

End of Year Party – Friday, 6 December

Tickets for the End of Year Party are now live!   There will be epic fun fair rides, food, band, petting zoo, teacher dunk tank and more!  We are also crossing our fingers that we will one again be able to run “Le Bar” (liquor licence pending approval).   Tickets are either General Admission for $10 (required for all attendees over 4 years old/no rides) or Unlimited Rides ($30). All good parties require even better volunteers! We need parents to assist with set up, patrolling the ride queues, selling & cooking food and pack up. Various shifts are available and we need your support to make the party a success. You can volunteer here: EOYP Volunteer Spreadsheet

2024 Silent Auction / Le Grand Raffle: Thank you to the community members who answered the call to assist with running the 2024 Silent Auction/ Le Grand Raffle. We are still looking for more donations – think professional services, lessons, accommodation/experiences, and food etc… You can directly donate items (and assist our auction volunteer team) by completing the information in this link: Donate here!

General News

End of Year Teacher Gifts & Class Celebrations: Your class convenor will start organizing teacher gift and scheduling a time for an end of year class celebration soon.  Donating to a collective present is voluntary, noting that a portion of funds donated will also be used to purchase presents for all of the wonderful staff at CJC such as Specialist teachers (Art, STEM, Performing Arts, Sport, Library etc), Administrative and Support team (sick bay, maintenance etc) , and the Leadership team. 

Gardening Team: The CJC gardening team meets informally to help with gardening at the school to assist with weeding, planting, and mulching.  Everyone is welcome to join-in. Send us an email if you would like to participate. 

Child Safety: A reminder that all parents/carer’s who wish to volunteer at CJC must have a Working With Children Check – it is free for volunteers and you can apply online here: Working with Children Check (service.vic.gov.au)

Friday Treats:   Over term 4, we will sell pain aux chocolate ($4.50) from Reverie Café as well as icy poles after school from 3.30pm until 3.45pm.  Diwali treats will be sold on 15 November instead. 

CJC Families Facebook Group: Did you know that we have a CJC Facebook Group called CJC Families?  The page is used to inform our community of CJC Events, sell 2nd hand uniform, find a babysitter and more. The page is private, and you must be a CJC community member and answer the questions to join.
