Arts and LOTE

Art-Beat

What a whirlwind term it has been – chock-a-block full of the arts, as any good term should be! Our concert band has recently performed at the town Remembrance Day ceremony, Una Voce has serenaded our senior citizens at multiple events, our budding media artists have produced some high-quality videos, and there are some fantastic clay sculptures coming out of the visual arts room. In the performing arts space – MAIN CASTING IS NOW COMPLETE FOR MATILDA JR THE MUSICAL! Congratulations to all the talented performers that auditioned for, and secured, lead roles. Anybody still looking to be involved can audition as ensemble or dancers. The hype for this event is pushing ever higher as we get ready to kick off the production process.

Matilda Jr cast table read this week.

Our Cultural Captains have hosted another successful Jam at the Junction event – the last for 2024. Watch this space for the plethora of amazing activities they have planned out for the course of 2025.

Instrumental Music 2025

Everyone should learn an instrument at some point in their life, and it is never too late to start. Apart from being great for your overall brain development, playing music is just a fun and cathartic activity that can provide a strong sense of community, and be a welcome distraction from the stress of school studies.

See the attached flyer for information about Instrumental Music, and a QR code linking to the sign-up form.

Kind regards,
