What's happening in Boarding?

Weekend Rec Activities
Ice Skating
What an amazing time we had on our trip to the ice-skating rink last weekend.
The day began with a group of excited skaters, all eager to put on their skates and glide across the ice. We had a mix of first-timers, seasoned pros, and everyone in between. There were a few wobbly moments but with a little encouragement, everyone found their rhythm.
For those who were less confident on the ice, there were plenty of friendly faces offering support and advice. There were lots of giggles as we all took turns practising our moves and gaining confidence. Whether you're an expert skater or a beginner, there's always something to enjoy when you're supported by your friends. Thanks to everyone who came along and made it such a fun day.
Kambala Boarders' Sunday Outing- HITT Class & Yo Chi
On Sunday, 17 November, the Kambala Boarders enjoyed a fantastic recreational outing that combined fitness, fun, and friendship. The day began with an invigorating HIIT gym class, where the girls challenged themselves through a series of dynamic and high-energy exercises. The session was not only a great way to stay active but also an opportunity to support and motivate one another, fostering teamwork and a sense of accomplishment.
Following the workout, the girls treated themselves to some well-deserved YoCHI frozen yoghurt. With a variety of flavours and toppings, it was the perfect way to cool down and reward their efforts. Laughter and conversation flowed as they enjoyed their frozen treats, making the outing as much about connection as it was about fitness.
This fun-filled Sunday was a wonderful balance of activity and relaxation, giving the girls a chance to bond and recharge outside the Boarding House. A memorable day for all involved!
Tivoli Afternoon Rec Activities
Our weekly trip to Milk Beach is a popular addition to the Rec programme. In addition to spending time outside and enjoying the harbour, several girls have been helping keep the beach clean and safe by conducting a 'beach clean'. We have also been taking snorkel and mask sets so the girls can look for sea-life whilst enjoying their swim. We will continue the weekly beach trip for the remainder of the term and again in term one next year.
The Tivoli Girls had a competitive Rec of playdough sculpting - there were amazing creations from the girls who excelled in making adorable animals, 3D flowers and even sushi!
Saturday Sport
Issy in Year 7 scored her first ever goal in water polo. Issy is a dedicated swimmer and trains with the school based Tivoli Swim School. She has taken up Waterpolo this year and is improving every week.
The final week of the regular rounds of touch football saw a mix of results across our Kambala teams. Eva and Micaela’s teams have both made the semi-finals for this coming weekend, good luck girls.

Fernbank Fun
The girls from Tivoli spent time in the Fernbank kitchen making brownies and connecting with some of the older girls. Not only is baking a good life skill when it is brownies, the eating at the end of the experience is super enjoyable.
