Mrs Amanda Bartholomew
Congratulations to the four students (Ryder, Hendrix, Dani and Ricky) who competed at the NSWCPS athletics carnival last Friday. From all reports it was a tricky day with weather and illness but our 4 representatives put in their very best efforts on the day with some PBs made. Well done for representing our school with such pride and being amazing ambassadors for sport!
This event is now up on COMPASS for you to give permission/decline by Wednesday the 18th September. Students will be transported by bus at no cost to parents and need to arrive at school by 7:45 a.m. ready to leave by 8:00 a.m. If you have a child in years 3 - 6 please log on and either give permission and pay ($6 diocesan carnival levy) for your child to attend or decline if your child is not going so Mrs Bartholomew can get teams registered.
The day is to be held at Gipps Street Playing Fields in Tamworth on Thursday the 26th of September (week 10, term 3) Students in grades 3 - 6 are welcome to attend. The day will commence at 9:30am and conclude by around 2pm ensuring we will be back for normal afternoon arrangements. Teams are mixed boys and girls and we will be aiming to send a Year 3/4 team and Year 5/6 team. I encourage all students to attend as it is a fabulous day of participation and fun!
Students are to wear their full school sports uniform (and will be provided with school representative shirts to wear), and will not need extra equipment to participate, they can play in footy boots or joggers and the school can provide shin pads if needed on request to Mrs Bartholomew. Students are advised to bring sunscreen and hats to wear at the trials. We advise parents to pack a full lunch box, however canteen facilities are available at the grounds. Please remember to bring adequate water for the day.
Students do not need to have played competitive or weekend soccer to play on this day...it is a come and try and have fun playing sport day!

School based sport sessions return to Wednesday's only this term. This means sports uniform will only need to be worn on Wednesdays. Students will build on skills used in net and court games (with a basketball and volleyball focus) such as ball control, game play and game tactics.
