📌 Term 3 Parent Teacher Interviews

Our recent Term 3 Parent Teacher Interviews were really well supported. It was great to see so many families engaging with the learning progress of our students. We encourage continued communication with your child’s teachers as we move into Term 4 to keep updated on progress. Secondary families can also use PAM to gain feedback on recently completed assessment tasks.

📌 MACS Vision for Instruction

Attached to this fortnight’s Marian you will find a Parent Information Guide for the MACS Vision for Instruction.  At St Mary’s College we already have a strong focus on the explicit instruction of learning content within a lesson. Staff at St Mary’s College have already undertaken significant professional learning throughout Term 3 and it will continue to be our focus area as we move into Term 4 and 2025.

📌 Term 4 Preparations

As we move into Term 4, it will be crucial for our secondary students to maintain their focus on academic outcomes, especially as they prepare for upcoming exams and assessments. For our primary students, consistent reading and regular practice of skills at home can make a significant difference. Families can support this effort by maintaining a daily routine that includes time for reading, practicing number skills such as times tables or engaging in educational games. Encouraging a quiet, dedicated study space also helps to keep motivation and confidence high. We are looking forward to continuing to celebrate our students’ achievements in their learning.

📌 Secondary Exam Weeks

Yr.s 9-11 will have assessment and exams in weeks 6-8 in Term 4. A full timetable will be provided to students informing them of specific dates.
