Thank you to the families that are ensuring their child is completing one lesson only of Mathseeds per week and reading each night.

iPad charging

It is a requirement for iPads to be brought to school fully charged each day. If iPads are not fully charged students, may be unable to complete important learning tasks and miss important content. Please charge your child's iPad every night.

Year 1

Please make sure your child arrives at school every day with their iPad fully charged. We rely on these devices daily for educational purposes, and a low battery can significantly hinder the students' learning experience. We commend our younger students for their efforts in remembering this, but we kindly request your assistance in helping your child establish this routine. Your cooperation would be greatly appreciated.

Year 2

Homework

Thank you for your continued support in instilling a strong homework routine for your child. The expectation is 1 lesson of Mathseeds completed a week (Sunday - Saturday). Please remember that Sunday starts the new week. 

The other homework expectation is reading 4 nights for 15 minutes. This is to be written in your child's diary and signed. Diaries should come to school every day.

Device

Our Year 2 students really enjoy engaging with our programs (Maths Invaders and Reading Eggspress just to name a few). When your child forgets their iPad or it is on a low percentage/flat, this restricts their engagement. Thank you for your continued support in creating a home routine with your child which involves charging their iPad and placing it in their bag.

Year 3

Please ensure your child’s device is fully charged before coming to school each day. We've noticed several students arriving with low or empty batteries on their iPads. Supporting your child in plugging in their device each night helps them be prepared for a productive school day. Thank you for your cooperation!

Year 4

Family Snapshots

Each Monday, a Maths and Reading Family Snapshot will be posted on Teams. Family Snapshots are small collections of questions for your child to engage in that will help them to understand the format of questions in NAPLAN. Completing these snapshots are not compulsory but are recommended.

Mathletics homework will resume next week. Please remember to complete and sign the homework journals. Your child's teacher checks this on Friday mornings. 

Parliament Process In-Visit

Year 5 students will be expanding their knowledge on democracy as they participate in a mock election. This will take place in school.

Reminders:

Graduation Scrapbook

As part of Year 6 graduation, students will create a special scrapbook to celebrate their journey. We invite you to start collecting photos of key moments in your child’s life that they can bring into school to include in their scrapbooks, such as:

• The day they were born
• Their first day of school
• Family vacations or special trips
• Sports teams or school events
• Birthday celebrations
• Family traditions or holidays
