Junior School
Finding Nemo JR.
The stage came alive with LMC being transformed into an underwater wonderland as more than 360 young stars dove into their roles for our latest theatrical adventure. The auditorium buzzed with excitement as our students brought the colourful world of Finding Nemo JR. to life, hook, line, and sinker. From the first note to the final bow, these budding performers kept the audience utterly mesmerised, proving once again that our school's got talent by the boatload!
During this spectacular performance, we were reminded of the powerful themes of love, perseverance, and the journey to rescue what is lost. Just as Marlin’s relentless search for his son Nemo echoes the parable of the Lost Sheep in Matthew 18:12-14, it also points us to the heart of the Gospel message: God’s unwavering love for us. Like the shepherd who leaves the 99 to seek the one lost sheep, God seeks us out through Jesus, who came to save us from our sins and restore us to a right relationship with Him. Finding Nemo JR. not only brought joy and entertainment but also served as a beautiful reminder of the Gospel’s promise – God’s love is relentless, and through Jesus, we are found, redeemed, and brought home. As we reflect on this, may we be encouraged to hold onto faith and trust in God’s saving grace, even in life’s toughest moments.
A heartfelt thank you goes to Mr Jeffrey Clarke, whose countless hours of hard work, passion, and dedication made this production possible. His love for the Performing Arts shone through in every aspect of the show on both evenings. Such a production is never a solo effort. We want to extend a big thank you to Mrs Natalie Bailey for her invaluable role as the Production Assistant, tirelessly supporting Mr Clarke to bring this wonderful performance together. Mrs Jayne Coney deserves special thanks for her meticulous attention to detail when crafting the beautiful costumes. We are truly grateful to all our parent volunteers who assisted Mrs Coney in putting costumes together. Mrs Merryn Burt played a crucial role in sourcing and organising the props, while managing the backstage crew with care. Mrs Jacqui Kelly’s artistic talents were on full display in the creation of both the painted sets and the makeup artistry for the performers. A sincere thank you to the lighting, sound, and technical teams for their expertise, as well as Mrs Faye Anderson for managing ticketing and Front of House, with the help of our ushers from Senior School. Behind the scenes, our Maintenance Team worked tirelessly to ensure everything ran smoothly, and we owe them our gratitude. Finally, a huge thank you to our Junior School teachers and Learning Support Assistants, who banded together to offer their support in every way needed. Working with such an amazing and dedicated team of educators continues to be a true privilege.
Year 4 Camp – Mill Valley Ranch
In the final week of term, our Year 4 students embarked on an unforgettable adventure at Mill Valley Ranch, where friendships blossomed, and memories were made. The camp offered a perfect blend of excitement and learning, with students trying their hand at horse riding, testing their aim in archery, and conquering fears on the challenging ropes course. Team games fostered camaraderie and cooperation, while the famous Cowboy Chapel provided a heartwarming opportunity for students to raise their voices in praise and worship, deepening their understanding of God’s love. This enriching experience would not have been possible without the dedication of our staff, who meticulously planned and chaperoned the event. Their tireless efforts ensured that our students had a fantastic time and grew in their relationships with each other and their teachers. A heartfelt thank you goes out to all the staff members who contributed to making this camp a resounding success!
2024 Class Placement
At the commencement of Term 4, plans will commence for the 2025 school year. It is now that parents are provided an opportunity to communicate in writing to the Head of Junior School any specific information that could have a significant impact on their child’s class placement for 2025 (e.g. cousins, neighbours in the same level, etc.). As situations can change, requests made in previous years are not taken into consideration. Please understand that these requests are not guaranteed but rather considered in the full picture of student placements. Staffing for each year level is not yet confirmed, so specific requests for teachers will not be considered. All correspondence should be addressed to the Head of Junior School, marked confidential, by Friday 11 October to be considered.
Student Uniform in Term 4
As students return from a well-earned break in Term 4, they may wear summer or winter uniforms during the one-week transition period. Please ensure girls’ summer dresses are at the correct length, with the hem to the bottom of the knee. It would be appreciated if parents could also use the holiday break to check hair length, earrings worn by girls and socks. Students are also required to wear their hats in Term 4. Please refer to pages 12-13 of the 2024 Student Diary for details of our Student Uniform Standards.

As we close the chapter on Term 3, we extend our heartfelt wishes for a safe and rejuvenating break to all our families. Whether you are setting off on an adventure or savouring the comforts of home, take comfort in knowing that God’s presence accompanies you always, guiding and protecting you wherever you go. His boundless love is your constant companion on every step of your journey. We eagerly anticipate our students return, refreshed and energised for Term 4, as we prepare to bring the 2024 academic year to a triumphant conclusion. May this break be filled with joy, laughter, and cherished moments with your loved ones. We look forward to the final exciting chapter of our school year.
Where can I go from Your Spirit? Where can I flee from Your presence? If I go up to the heavens, You are there; if I make my bed in the depths, You are there. If I rise on the wings of the dawn, if I settle on the far side of the sea, even there Your hand will guide me, Your right hand will hold me fast. Psalm 139:7-10
