Green Team News
On Friday, the Green Team gathered for the last time for Term Three and there were many jobs to complete. Before beginning work, the team took a walk around Brendan’s Garden, observing the growth of both the plants in the garden beds. The students were amazed by the new garden art installation in the centre garden bed and were interested to learn that Mr Carr had made it. They had many ideas for what we could plant around the garden art and this will be decided next term.
Spring is always an important time for preparing the garden beds for the summer crops. They need to be weeded, the soil turned, fertiliser added and a good topping of mulch. Mrs Coggin had weeded, turned the soil and fertilised the beds and it was up to the Green Team to mulch and water them. As they say, many hands make light work and this was evident as the students worked hard to complete the tasks. We look forward to planting the summer vegetable seedlings in Term Four.
Here are some photos of the team hard at work and also the new garden art feature.
