In Year 3/4, together we discussed safety and hygiene considerations when working in a kitchen and explored the changes which happen at different stages when baking buttermilk scones. Each class, worked with Kerryn from the secondary college to mix and bake scones. The final task, which proved quite quick and easy was for everyone to enjoy eating their creations with jam and cream!
Now that all the students have experience making scones, hopefully, a batch will be whipped up as a treat during the holidays!!!
