Grade 5/6

Literacy

In Literacy, we have completed our unit on Persuasive Writing. We had a wonderful writing day, spending time drafting, revising and editing our pieces on ‘Where would you rather live? The Beach or the Mountains.’ It was fantastic to read all the student's opinions and reasons why they choose each place. They used all of the persuasive devices they learnt and made it hard for us to choose between the two. To finish off the term, we are spending more time revising our pieces, by focussing on the writing trait, conventions. 

Integrated Studies

During Integrated Studies, we have been learning all about ethics and emotions, focusing on our personal strengths and our identities. We have spent time designing a t-shirt that is all about our identity and creating a presentation about something we are a fan of. This week, we will be presenting our work to the rest of the grade 5/6s, we can’t wait to learn more about each student.

Division Athletics

Congratulations to our students who represented our school in the division athletics, everyone did such an incredible job and we are so proud of you all. Well done to Thea, Luka and Monique who have now made it to regionals which will be in October. 

Well done on a great term! We hope everyone has a wonderful and safe break and we will see you for the final term of the year!
