In our previous newsletter, we discussed the theme of 'Kindness' and how we planned to pay it forward within our community. Our class decided to express our gratitude to a local business that has shown us remarkable generosity. The students came up with the thoughtful idea of creating handmade flowers and a card to present to our local IGA supermarket. This gesture was in response to their generous donation of Milo and cereal for our Breakfast Club, a contribution that has made a meaningful difference to our mornings.
We wanted to ensure that the supermarket staff know just how much we appreciate their kindness. Their support has not only helped us but has also set a wonderful example of community spirit. By giving back to them, we aimed to show that their actions have not gone unnoticed. It's important for us to recognise and thank those who consistently contribute to our school community's well-being. This experience was an opportunity for our students to practice gratitude and acknowledge the positive impact of local businesses like IGA.
The Prep students were thrilled to venture out into the community, where they had the wonderful opportunity to personally deliver their handmade card and flowers. This experience was not only enjoyable for the children but also allowed them to connect with the people in our local area in a meaningful way.
To cap off this exciting outing, the students enjoyed a fun-filled lunch at the local playground, where they could play and relax together. We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to the local IGA for their ongoing support and everything they do to assist us at Beaufort Primary School. Your contributions make a significant difference in our community!
