P&F Update

Welcome back to Term 4 from the P&F! We hope you had a relaxing break and are looking forward to the Fete on Saturday, it will be a fabulous day! New families joining us in 2025, we recommend you come along on Saturday and experience the Holy Spirit Community Fete first-hand. You won’t believe what our volunteer-run Fete Committee has in store!

Second Hand Uniform Shop – Fri 18 Oct

The next Second Hand Uniform Shop will be on Friday 18 Oct 2.50pm-3.20pm in the P&F room opposite the Church. If you have any good quality uniform items that your kids have outgrown, please bring them along, especially school dresses, sports tops and coloured polo tops. We are no longer accepting or selling grey and white items as these will be phased out at the end of this year.

Icy Poles are back!

Icy Pole sales will commence again on Friday 18 Oct on the front lawn. $1 for a Zooper Dooper, cash only and correct change if possible. We would also appreciate any volunteers to help run the stall once or twice on a Friday in Term 4. It’s an easy job, and only takes about 45mins. Contact the P&F members for more information.

Grandparents’ Day and Scholastic Book Fair

Grandparents’ Day is on Monday 28 October and this coincides with the Scholastic Book Fair on 28-29 October. This event was a hit last year and we need your help to make sure it is just as successful this year. We need volunteers to:

• Set-up the Book Fair on Sunday 27 Oct
• Staff the Book Fair on Monday 28 or Tuesday 29 October
• Donate morning tea for the grandparents on Monday 28 October.
• Assist with running the morning tea on Monday 28 October.

Next P&F meeting on Tues Oct 29 

Our next P&F meeting will be held at 7.30pm on Tuesday 29 Oct in the P&F room. The committee is currently recruiting for a new Treasurer for 2025, as well as General Members, as some existing members will retire at the end of 2024. We are encouraging all parents, especially current Prep parents who may be considering joining the P&F, to come along to this meeting. We will also be joined by Ben Lannen, who will present the school’s latest Wellbeing data. 

Italian Day – Thur 7 Nov

Mamma Mia! Italian Day is coming up next month. Our bambini are looking forward to a fantastic day, including pizza sponsored by the P&F and cannoli. To make this possible we need some helpers to collect and deliver the pizza and help the children stuff the cannoli.

Save the Date! Pilates and Prosecco Mums’ Night

Mark Tuesday 12 November in your calendars for Holy Spirit’s first ever ‘Pilates and Prosecco’ Mums’ Night! Attendees will participate in an instructor-led Pilates session in the school hall, followed by a glass of Prosecco. A night out in your activewear – what could be better?!
