Year 7 term wrap-up

As we come to the end of Term 3 we want to wish our students and families and enjoyable term break. Term 3 always has its challenges, and our Year 7s have proven that they are able to conquer whatever they are faced with. Our students have been working hard to complete their end of term assessments and demonstrate positive attitude, effort, behaviour, organisation and persistence in the lead up to their progress reports and parent teacher interviews. We are excited, once again, to be able to welcome families to the school on Thursday to discuss the learning and wellbeing accomplishments of this Cohort of students.

As Term 3 ends, we are already putting plans in place for 2025. Part of this planning involves the organisation of our homegroups for Year 8. As such, we thought it would be a good opportunity to direct your attention to the College’s Class Placement Policy, which you can find, in full, by clicking this link: https://gisbornesc.vic.edu.au/wp-content/uploads/2023/05/Class-Placement.pdf. Alternatively, the more relevant portion of this policy is pasted as a standalone page earlier in this edition.

Once again, we hope you have a restful and enjoyable term break with your young one and we look forward to seeing the continued growth of this Year 7 Cohort in Term 4 :)

Kind regards,

Ash Bishop and Nathaniel Alexopoulos
