Division Athletics

An outstanding day at Monash Waverley Division Athletics for our 8 students from SJV!

A few of these students have given their recount of our day:

Elise: Today I went to Division athletics to represent the school with seven other kids. We left at nine o’clock in the morning in a minibus to Burwood Athletics track. My event was at 9:50am which was long jump.  I jumped 3.03m and I came sixth place, I didn't get into regionals but I still had a great time.

Dina: Eight SJV students  participated in the Division athletics championships. We all did so well!  Caris and I managed to finish top two in our events which means we will compete in the Regional Championships. Caris came 2nd in her 100m sprint and 1st in her discus. I competed in the triple jump and came 1st.  

Caris:  Today we went to Division athletics at Burwood.  Dina, Elise, Adrian, Kester, Jack, Angelika, Krishay and I got to participate in Division athletics. I did the 100m with a time of 14.98s and came 2nd. I also did the discus and threw 28.46m and finished 1st.  Dina and I qualified for regionals on the 24th of October. Dina came first in the triple jump and she jumped 7.85m.  

Congratulations to all of our students who qualified for today events at Division!

Angelika - 80m Hurdles 6th

Elise - Long Jump 3.03m 6th

Krishay - 100m 5th, 200m 5th

Kester - 1500m 9th

Adrian - Long Jump 3.44m

Jack R - Long jump 3.04m

Caris - 100m 2nd, Discus 28.46m 1st: qualified for Regional Championships

Dina - Triple jump 7.85m 1st: qualified for Regional Championships
