Brigidine Campus News
Spring is definitely in the air this week! As we approach the holiday break, I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our students for their contributions in all aspects of school life this term. It certainly has been a jam-packed term of events!
Wishing our Year 12 students the very best in their practice exams during the break. Year 12 is a time of immense growth, challenge and opportunity, and we know that you have been working incredibly hard to get to this point. Good luck to all of you!
As we transition into Term 4 and warmer weather, I would like to draw your attention to our Sun Protection Policy. The College is committed to providing a safe working environment for all our students, workers and visitors. All students require the school hat as part of their summer uniform. Students who do not have an appropriate sun protective hat will be asked to stay in shaded areas. We ask for your support in ensuring your student has a hat.
On Wednesday 9 October our College will be participating in the Official Opening of Kildare Campus. Students from Brigidine Campus will be transported by buses to Kildare Campus during period 3 and 4 for this special event. An altered timetable will be provided on this day. All students are expected to be in full school uniform. Students will return to Brigidine Campus after the opening and be dismissed from there. Country bus travellers will be supervised by staff until 3:15pm.
We wish all of our students, families and staff a relaxing and safe holiday break and we look forward to welcoming everyone back for the final term of 2024 on Monday 7 October.
The Resilience Project Launch
Last week, we had the pleasure of hosting the infectious Martin Heppell from the Resilience Project to kick off our three year partnership with the school wellbeing program.
Through his high-energy humour and captivating storytelling, Martin presented to students from St Joseph’s College and Rochester Secondary College, about simple practical tools they can use to feel happier and look after their wellbeing.
We would like to thank Rochester Community House for subsidising access to the program for St Joseph’s College and other cluster schools in the region through a Federal, State and Local Government flood recovery grant, in conjunction with generous funding from Campaspe Shire Council, Anglicare Victoria, Community Bank Elmore, Lockington and Rochester and Bendigo Bank.
