Kildare Campus News
Earthworks officially commenced on our new AFL-sized oval and soccer pitch at Kildare Campus this week!
Incredible to think in just a few months, these green paddocks will be transformed into some state-of-the-art sporting facilities for our students!
Please be mindful when visiting the campus as there will be extra traffic in the area, including the movement of trucks and tractors.
Multipurpose sports courts are almost complete!
The long-anticipated unveiling of our undercover multipurpose sports courts is just around the corner with works expected to be completed at the end of this week.
A special thank you to our Kildare Campus staff and students for your patience, as this project has taken longer to complete than anticipated. Rest assured the wait will be worth it when this wonderful sporting facility opens to staff and students in early Term 4.
The sporting surface we have chosen is the proven elite system developed for professional sporting turf systems where sports performance and outstanding durability is desired.
The surface is guaranteed to look good and to perform at the highest standard all year round, providing 24/7 utilisation of resources.Other key benefits of the surface are:
- extreme wear resistance and durability
- consistent performance characteristics over the entire surface and less risk of injury due to uneven footing
- reliable traction and rotation characteristics ideal for basketball and netball
- soft filament for a gentle feel to the skin
- low maintenance - no mowing, edging, weeding or fertilising required
- eco-friendly - requires no watering, or chemicals such as pesticides and herbicides
- A great long term investment - cost and time savings from minimal maintenance involved.
Our first shared experience of the COLA area will be in Week 1 of Term 4 (Wednesday 9 October) when our entire school and guests gather on the courts for the Official Opening and Blessing of our Kildare Campus.
