Principal's Report
It's the end of Term 3 already… time certainly disappears in schools as we mark off each milestone week by week!
This week we announced our 2025 College Captains, this is never an easy decision as we always have quality applicants. I commend all students who have applied for various roles across the College, this takes courage and commitment. I look forward to working and leading with these students as our College grows and we move to our Year 7- 9 (Kildare Campus) and our Years 10-12 (Brigidine Campus) structure next year.
Footy Colours Day was a great opportunity for our community to celebrate the end of term but also to support Saltbush Balnarring. These days are a bit of fun, but they also provide an opportunity for all of us to contribute to a good cause; one that focuses on supporting the most vulnerable in the wider community. Saltbush is a not-for-profit, charitable organisation that was established by the Presentation Sisters and is part of our Kildare Ministry Community Works. They provide a place of retreat and reconnection to families and people who need it most.
We wish our staff and students travelling to Italy and Greece a wonderful time and trust this experience brings much joy and learning to all.
During this break, Brigidine Campus will undergo some demolition works which will start to pave the way for more refurbishments to occur at our historic, but slightly run down campus.
In other exciting news soil is being moved at Kildare Campus as works begin on our AFL-sized oval and soccer field. Discussions and consultations have also started on Stage 3 for Kildare Campus as we continue to finalise plans for our indoor basketball courts, performing arts area and additional classrooms.
Week one of Term 4 will see the Official Opening and Blessing of our Kildare Campus and buildings. This will be a whole school event at Kildare Campus as we celebrate this significant milestone in the school’s history.
I take this opportunity to wish all students a restful break, but a special mention to our Year 12 students as they sit their practice examinations. These really do work as a rehearsal for the real examinations that will take place later this year. Trusting they are well prepared and use this experience to improve their overall results. This last break of the year also provides a great opportunity for other students to revise and catch up on work or study.
God Bless.
