Our Term 1 focus is DRAMA
The whole school theme for this Term's Drama unit of work is ‘Identity’. The students will participate in a range of drama games and activities, including role play, storytelling, and improvisation, to develop an understanding of how a person's experiences, relationships, and values create a sense of identity, and how they can use facial expression, vocal tone, and body language to portray real or fictional identities.
Welcome to the Performing Arts Leaders for 2024
The Performing Arts leaders will be responsible for helping lead Holy Spirit in all things Performing Arts. This will include helping to organise and run Performing Arts events, writing the Performer of the Week awards each week, reading out the Performing Arts STAR award at assembly, and helping prepare the Performing Arts room for lessons.
I am so grateful for the energy and enthusiasm that these fabulous leaders have already brought to the Performing Arts room and I look forward to working with them throughout the year.
Amy
My favourite area of Performing Arts is Music, and I especially like to play the piano. I have piano lessons at Holy Spirit once a week and I have been learning for four years. I am very excited for the production this year, because I love the opportunity it gives us to perform on a real stage.
Mila
My favourite area of Performing Arts is Drama. I have also been doing acting and dancing outside of school since I was two and competitive dance since Prep. I am so excited for the production this year because it gives me an awesome chance to act and perform in front of an audience.
Annabelle
Over my years at Holy Spirit I have formed a passion for Performing Arts. I especially enjoy doing Drama/Acting in Performing Arts . I am very excited to help out and perform in the production this year, and I plan to audition for a lead role.
Andy
My absolute favourite part of Performing Arts is definitely Drama because I love acting and being able to become somebody else and immerse myself in their backstory. I am excited about the production, because I love this year's theme.
I look forward to lots of fun and learning in the Performing Arts room this year.
Wishing everyone a wonderful Term 1!
