P&F Update

Next P&F meeting Tuesday 27 February: All welcome!

Our next P&F Committee meeting will be held on Tuesday 27 February at 7.30pm in the P&F room (across from the church). All interested parents and friends of Holy Spirit school are welcome to come along and hear about our exciting plans for 2024!

The Colour Run is back!

Thank you to everyone who has kicked off their fundraising for the Colour Run. We are so excited to be hosting this fantastic event, which is not only a highlight for the children, but also our major whole-school fundraiser for 2024.

Based on your feedback, we are not providing incentive prizes for all children. Instead, we are excited to announce that we have managed to secure some incredible prizes for our top fundraisers, thanks to generous donations from these businesses.

1st prize: Vivid Hover Board (value $449)

2nd prize: Family pass to Luna Park (value $170)

3rd prize: Hoyts family movie tickets (2A+2C) plus 12 blocks of chocolate! (value $149)

4th and 5th prizes: Karate passes (value $129)

Please visit https://www.trybooking.com/events/landing/1177659 to donate and share the link with your family and friends (make sure they nominate your child including their full name and class). All profit raised goes towards the P&F fundraising target for 2024.

Please refer to the email sent last week for all other Colour Run details.

Our volunteer sign-up roster is now full (thank you!!) however if you are interested in volunteering for the event, please contact pandf@hsringwoodnth.catholic.edu.au or speak of a P&F committee member.

Zooper Dooper Fridays!

Come and grab a Zooper Dooper icy pole from the stall on the front lawn every Friday (weather dependent) in Term 1 for only $1. (Cash only)

IGA Rewards Program

Did you know that Holy Spirit is registered as a recipient for the North Ringwood IGA Rewards Program? You can nominate Holy Spirit as a beneficiary and we receive money towards our fundraising targets for the year. It’s an easy way to support a local business and your school at the same time!

Holy Spirit Helping Hands

The Holy Spirit Helping Hands group is made up of parents and carers who are able to volunteer for various jobs around the school. This might include helping distribute notices, selling icy poles, collecting fete donations, sorting the lost property or helping in the second hand uniform shop. The time commitment can be as much or as little as you like and there are NO meetings to attend. If you are interested in joining Helping Hands, please send a message to Emily Woodhams on 0408 370 959 and she will add you to the group.

2024 Class Reps

Each year, we ask one or two parents from each class to volunteer as a Class Rep. The Class Rep is responsible for coordinating an opt-in online class group for parents, such as a WhatsApp group or Facebook group. The Class Rep may also coordinate birthday and end-of-year gifts for the teacher and LSO in their class. The time commitment for this role is less than an hour per month and it can be shared between two people. It’s a great way to get to know other parents in your child’s class and most of the work can be done outside of business hours. If you are interested in being a Class Rep, please email pandf@hsringwoodnth.catholic.edu.au

Holy Spirit – Parents & Friends Facebook page

Did you know that the P&F has a Facebook group? We use this group for reminders and keeping in touch with parents in a more informal way. Members can also post questions in the group. Please note: this is a closed group for current parents/caregivers only. Please ensure you answer the membership questions when applying to join or your request will be declined.https://www.facebook.com/groups/holyspiritpandf
