Principal's Report

Report from our Principal: Duncan Arendse

Dear Parents, Friends and Father Arsenio,

It was pleasing to be able to host our introductory Parent - Teacher meetings this week. Staff were asked to explain what they knew of your child, also to explain what they would be working on and thirdly to ask if there was anything you wanted your child's teacher to know. Please feel free to offer feedback on this process as you see fit.

Ninja playground update:

I have finally received a quote from a second company. The third and final quote is expected this week. I apologise for the delays however I am expected to get three quotes given the size of the project. One company did not return any of my calls and a fifth company did not want to undertake the works based on the installation. Rest assured it is progressing in the background. I will update you again in a fortnight via the next newsletter.

Each year our leadership team articulates an 'Annual Action Plan' or AAP. This is derived from the School Improvement Framework (SIF) that was drawn up after the last review in 2021. The SIF is essentially a four year business plan and the AAP the annual iteration of this. I will be making constant reference to the AAP this year to draw attention to the fact we are working to a plan. The AAP is set out further in this newsletter. Please have a look at it.

Ash Wednesday Mass, held this week, marks the beginning of the Lenten season. This lead up to Easter centres on three key tenets, namely Almsgiving (charitable works) Fasting (going without) and Prayer. As we near the pinnacle of the church calendar I hope that your family maybe able to reflect on these and implement them from time to time.

Have a great week

Duncan
