Spotlight on Learning

 Dear Foundation Families, 

This week, on Tuesday we had Catherine from St John's first aid visit us. She taught us what we could find in a first aid bag, what to do in an emergency and how to call for help. 

Next week on Friday 5th is our Father's Day celebration. We will be celebrating all the people in our lives that fulfill that role, dads, grandfathers, uncles and anyone who plays a fatherly role and look forward to celebrating with everyone. 

Finally, next week on the same Friday we are encouraging students to wear a splash of pink and bring a gold coin donation for Natasha's Garden.

For reading, we are focusing on CCVCC words like twist or frost. 

For writing, we are going to focus on verbally expanding sentences using who, when and where. 

Mathematics 

For Mathematics, we are focusing on measurement concepts like length. 

Social Emotional Learning 

For Social Emotional Learning, we are learning about how activities, clothes and toys are for everyone. 

Integrated 

In integrated learning we are learning about the human life cycle. 

Auslan 

For Auslan we will be learning the signs for family like mum, dad, brother and sister. 

Religion 

In Religion, we are focusing on identifying God as a loving father in relation to Father's Day.
