From the Principal

Thank You
Thank you to our Learning Enrichment Team, Anne, Kate, Tim and Allyson for organising and presenting out second annual Allied Health Expo. It was a wonderful opportunity to learn more about the services that are available for our families and students. Thank you to the families and staff that attended the sessions and the Allied Health contractors who supported the expo and learning.
Recent Illness
Well the winter illnesses are definitely here. Across the school we have had many staff and students succumbing to Influenza A and B, along with Covid. Please know that the routines of hand washing both with soap and water along with sanitiser are being used across the school consistently. These illnesses hang around in the body longer that we realise, so please ensure that your child is fully well before returning to school.
Staffing News - Nathan Hale - Student Counsellor
Nathan will be joining our team from Monday 8th of September (Week 8) and will be working on Monday, Tuesday and Fridays.
Nathan has experience working with children in both Primary and Secondary School contexts, and most recently as a House Coordinator with Baptist Care SA.
Please pray for Nathan as he transitions out of his current role and into the role of Student Counsellor here at Good Shepherd.
2026 Enrolment Intentions
Early next week you will receive a survey via email regarding your enrolment intentions for 2026. The information provided supports with planning for staffing and budgeting. Please remember to avoid additional fees to your family, as we require a full terms notice of intent of moving from the school, this survey supports that communication.
Outdoor Learning Space and Playgrounds
The spaces change each day with work in the Middle Primary Play area being the focus. Outdoor benches, raised garden beds and other landscaping is the focus at the moment. If you get a chance - come and have a look, this space is still on track to be completed by the end of August, with further works then taking place around the outside of the oval and in the Junior Primary Playground.
Blessings for your week.
