Small Schools Half Day Transition

Building Connections and Embracing Wellbeing

Our recent Small Schools Half Day Transition was a wonderful success, bringing together students from neighbouring schools for a day of learning, connection, and fun. The morning began at Macintryre High School where students had the opportunity to explore a new environment and engage with peers from other schools.

In the afternoon, the group came together at Inverell High School, where the day continued with a delicious BBQ lunch that gave everyone a chance to relax and socialise. Following lunch, students participated in a dynamic PDHPE lesson designed to promote physical activity and teamwork.

To conclude the day on a calming note, a mindfulness session was held, encouraging students to reflect, relax, and develop strategies for wellbeing.

This transition event not only helped students become familiar with their new school community but also fostered friendships and a positive outlook for the year ahead. We look forward to hosting more collaborative and enriching activities in the future.
