Learning in Year 6

This week in Mathematics, the students have been applying their understanding of decimals to solve real-life money problems. They have also used their knowledge of percentages to calculate discount prices and work out the final totals.

In English, the students researched an Asia–Pacific country and presented their findings in an informative text using Google Docs.

As part of Integrated Studies, the students explored the geographic features of their chosen Asia–Pacific region, learning about its mountains, rivers, ecosystems, agriculture, and natural disasters. They then showcased their learning by creating a visual poster using Pages.

A highlight of the week was sharing lunch with their Prep buddies, strengthening connections across the school. Friday sport rotations continue to be a hit, with the students enjoying rounders, Smash and Dash, Big M, Raid the Nest, and kickball.
