This Prayer offers a simple yet powerful reminder for both children and adults. It encourages us to find peace in situations we can’t control, to be brave when we need to take action, and to seek wisdom to know the difference. In busy family life, this can be a helpful way to pause and reflect—especially when things feel overwhelming. Whether it’s dealing with change, making decisions, or supporting each other through challenges, this prayer reminds us to approach life with calm, courage, and clarity. A gentle thought for the week ahead.
Social Justice Sunday – August 31st
Social Justice Sunday is a day when people take time to think about fairness, equality, and caring for others. It encourages everyone to reflect on how we can help create a world where all people are treated with respect and dignity. This day highlights important issues like poverty, racism, and helping those who are struggling. While it’s often recognised by churches and community groups, it’s also a good time for families to talk about kindness, inclusion, and standing up for what’s right—values that help build a better, fairer society for everyone.

Receiving a sacrament is a special moment in the journey of faith, marking a deeper step in a child’s relationship with God and the Catholic community. The sacraments remind us of the importance of community, as we gather to celebrate and support one another in faith.
Eucharist (Holy Communion) is the heart of our Catholic faith. In receiving Holy Communion, we are united with Jesus Christ in a profound and personal way - He truly becomes part of us.
Confirmation is when a baptised child confirms their Christian faith as their own. Through the anointing with the oil of chrism, they are sealed with the gift of the Holy Spirit and sent forth to be witnesses of God’s love in the world.
