Book Week!
What an amazing celebration Book Week was! See below some of the photos from our fun across last week. A major highlight was our dress up day on Friday and our Annual Scotsurn Book Swap!
A very special thank you to all of our families for your efforts and support to make our book week a very memorable experience.
On Friday we were also fortunate to have a local author, Glenice Wood Lake visit to discuss her new book, ‘Flora.’ She shared the history behind the story, whilst capturing a very important part of Buninyong's history. Thank you, Glenice, we can't wait to get our hands on a copy of your new book!
This year at Scotsburn we will be holding a Fathers’ Day breakfast, celebrating all the special father figures in our lives. We would love all of our Scotsburn fathers and special friends to come along to the Scotsburn campus on Thursday 4th September, for a big breakfast and celebration. We will have the old building ready from 8:15am for any guests, with our students doing all the hard work to show appreciation for their dads and special people in their lives!
Our Scotsburn Fathers’ Day stall will also be on Thursday 4th September. Please remember to send along $5 or $10 for a gift or two for your child to purchase. All gifts will be $5.

Scotsburn Steve” the Scarecrow Needs Some clothes!
To kickstart our Veggie Patch Upgrade, Steve our Scarecrow needs some new clothes! If you have an old pair of jeans and/or a shirt that you would be willing to donate, I’m sure Steve would appreciate it!
SC1 Learning Snapshot
Last Thursday we headed off to our much anticipated excursion to Sovereign Hill. This excursion was linked in with our ‘Then and Now’ inquiry unit where students were able to connect, compare and contrast the differences between childhood now and in the 1850s.
A great day out, with what ended up being perfect weather to explore all that Sovereign Hill has to offer. Please enjoy some of the photographs captured from our day.
Have a great week
Chelsea & Beth

Scotsburn Intercampus Travel At times, Scotsburn students will be transported between campuses in order to attend classes, assemblies, special days and events. On most occasions, transport required through the day will be by bus and occasionally private car for smaller groups of students. Parents may be asked to drop off or collect from the Buninyong campus if sessions are at the beginning or ending of a day. We will always let you know of any upcoming travel arrangements via our newsletter, Compass, or via phone for smaller, more specific travel arrangements.
If you ever have any questions or concerns regarding intercampus travel, please contact your child’s teacher. |
