Father’s Day Stall - Friday 5 September
Our annual Father’s Day stall will be held on Friday 5 September this year.
This is an opportunity for our students to learn more about gratitude and give thanks to the dads and male role models in their lives. All gifts will be $5.
Students are offered the opportunity to come along and purchase one gift for their dad or significant male in their life. After all grades have been through, an announcement will be put over for any students who may wish to buy a second gift (for a step dad, grandfather, etc.) to come and purchase another item.
Parent helpers welcome between 9 –11am. Please contact narelle.sullivan@education.vic.gov.au if you may be able to assist.
FATHERS DAY BREAKFAST
FOOTY COLOURS DAY proudly supporting the Mphatso Children’s Foundation (last day of term)
AA reminder that on the last day of term 3, students are invited to come dressed in their favourite team colours. Usually students are asked to bring a gold coin donation on casual dress days to support a good cause.
On footy colours day, we encourage students to collect as many coins as they can. 5c coins have become synonymous with Mphatso, as this is how much it previously cost to provide a bowl of porridge to a student each day at school. For many of the children, this is the only food they will have for the day. Unfortunately, inflation has also hit Malawi and the cost of a bowl of porridge has risen to 10c.
Students may bring along as many coins as they wish, and coins can be of any denomination.
Students can then deposit their coins into their favourite team’s container. The team at the end of the day with the most donations (in volume, not value) will be crowned the winner of the Buninyong Cup!
All donations will then be forwarded to the Mphatso Children’s Foundation on behalf of our school.
As many of you may know, we have had an ongoing relationship with Mphatso Children’s Foundation in Malawi for many years. A former parent of Buninyong PS, Robyn Casey, established the Mphatso Children’s Foundation back in 2004. Their mission is to FEED THE CHILDREN, GROW THE COMMUNITY & IMPACT THE FUTURE.

The BIG SHOW & Colour Run is coming to Buninyong Primary School!
Fundraising Launch Date: September 1st
We have a MASSIVE event coming up on our school in Term 4. Our whole school fundraiser The Big Show/ Colour Run is beginning to kick into gear! From next week our fundraising will open (September 1st) and from there nothing will hold us back.
Over the following 5–8 weeks, our students will be working hard to raise as much money as possible, all leading up to the ultimate celebration: The Colour Run on Friday, October 24th.
There’ll be weekly prize draws, teachers getting slimed, assembly shout-outs, giveaways, and heaps of fun along the way – it’s going to be hectic…and I can’t wait!
Stay tuned- you’ll hear more from me over the next few weeks as our fundraiser launches- and I’ll keep you up to date on all the fun.
