Funfit - By Marc

For Funfit we have been learning how to breakdance, we did lots of different things like the frog and the ninja freeze. l really enjoyed when we got to make our own breakdancing moves like a shape or an animal. We could even choose our friends to do moves with together. It was great fun doing breakdancing and we also saw the instructor do a back handspring. It was very inspiring.

Inquiry/Ed in Faith - By Raya

In the last 2 weeks we have learnt a few different things in inquiry which were all amazing. One of those things was the Valentine’s Day poem, were we watched a video about St. Valentine who was a priest who did marriages secretly and then wrote a poem about it. We also learnt about Mood Boosters and did some Research. The things we researched were Nutrition, Sleep, Screen Time, Physical and Exercise. It was really fun because we went in groups. 

Writing - By Andrea

In the last 2 weeks in writing, we have been focusing on persuasive writing, fake news and advertisements. We also got to write about which place we would like to go to on an excursion to convince Mr. Will. The options were to go to the zoo, art gallery or science works. At the end going to the zoo was mostly written about, so we are going to the zoo in Term 2.    

We have also been learning how to use persuasive texts to grab the reader's attention. We made posters for different objects which were our product and got to name it differently. Once a poster was made we focused on fake news and that was all about how to identify fake news and what media to trust.
