Celebrating Learning

Kii families, 

We have been doing our Main Lesson on The King of Ireland’s Son. The adventure, magic and complicated storyline has kept the children invested in our hero’s journey! Each chapter has brought with it a new challenge to overcome and thus some very interesting conversations around the story deepening their understanding of literature. 

The focus has been on narrative story telling but also parts of a sentence and types of sentences and how a writer can use different sentence structures to gain the reader's attention. 

In practice time maths we have looked into partitioning shapes into equal parts (fractions), arrays and finding groups of numbers within numbers. This week the focus has been on targeted strategies to help solve addition and subtraction problems. 

It has been an extremely smooth and joyful start to 2025!
