STEM

This term in STEM, students across all year levels have been engaging in exciting hands-on projects that foster creativity, problem-solving, and digital skills.
Prep & Grade 1Our youngest learners have been using Makedo tools to explore design and construction. They have been busy creating imaginative objects and working collaboratively to build Rube Goldberg machines, learning about cause and effect in a fun and interactive way.
Grade 2 Students in Grade 2 have been diving into the world of coding with ScratchJr! They have been creating their own animations and games using block coding, while also developing their design skills by editing and customizing their own characters.
Grade 3/4With MicroBits in hand, Grade 3/4 students have been using block coding to bring their ideas to life. Soon, they will take their projects a step further by designing and engineering physical objects to house their MicroBits, aligning the digital and physical aspects of their creations.
Grade 5/6Students in the upper grades have been exploring MakeyMakey, where they are designing and engineering their own controllers and joysticks to interact with digital animations and games. This project encourages innovation and challenges students to think critically about circuits and user experience.
It's been an inspiring term so far, and we can’t wait to see what our students create next!
