At our March school council meeting we will elect office bearers.

At our February school council meeting held this week, we farewelled departing school council members Sam Lord and Matt Schouteten and thanked them for their valuable and insightful contributions to school council over the past two years.

School historical debt recovery

Thank you to everyone in the school community who supported the request for Department of Education financial relief through a letter writing campaign. As a result of these efforts, we are currently in negotiations with the Department for financial support that ensures that students are not disadvantaged while balancing the need to repay the debt. The Department are sympathetic to our situation and are very keen to support us. 

We will provide further updates in future Dhumbadjirri editions. 

Annual privacy reminder for our school community

Our school collects and uses student and parent personal information for standard school functions or where permitted by law, as stated in the Schools’ Privacy Policy and the Schools’ Privacy Collection Notice.

Our Photographing, Filming and Recording Students Policy on our website, describes how we collect and use photographs, video and recordings of students. The policy also explains when parent consent is required and how it can be provided and withdrawn. 

We ask parents to also review the guidance on how we use Google Workspace for Education safely at the school and what parents can do to further protect their child’s information. If after reviewing the guidance, you have any questions or concerns regarding your child using Google Workspace for Education, please contact the school.
