Australian Air League Shepparton

We welcome boys and girls from the age of eight, to the world of aviation while fostering essential life skills such as leadership, discipline, confidence and teamwork, embracing diversity and inclusivity across all backgrounds and cultures. The Australian Air League is a family friendly organisation, encouraging parents and families to actively support their local Squadron. Those interested can also volunteer, with training provided for adults who wish to assist in organising and managing activities that benefit our young members.

The Shepparton Squadron, originally active in the 1940s and 1950s, is relaunching and recently held its first meeting. The Goulburn Valley Aero Club has generously provided access to their facility for weekly meetings.

Australian Air League Squadrons offer a structured yet enjoyable program where cadets learn aviation theory, navigation, meteorology and more. Additional activities include weekend camps, ceremonial drill, training courses and even opportunities to fly. The League especially welcomes parents and community members as volunteers, with training available for those who wish to join to support and mentor young cadets.

The Australian Air League is committed to child safety, maintaining strict policies to ensure the wellbeing of all members. All adult volunteers are required to hold a valid Working with Children Check (WWCC) and complete child safety training.
