Year 5/6 Reflections
Swimming and Cross Country
On the 20th of February, Years 3-6 did cross country where every age group was its own competition. This was a day where we raced for house points and ribbons, only the first 3 people in each age group got ribbons. Congratulations to everyone who got a ribbon.

Spencer, Year 5
It was an incredible day. I hope everyone had an enjoyable day at Cross Country. So many parents were cheering us on today.
Ava, Year 5
It was a perfect day for running, with blue skies and no clouds in sight. Everyone enjoyed it, as it was a fun day out of the classroom. Some people even enjoyed it so much that they did extra laps just for the fun of it. People were also very sportsmanlike, cheering people on even if they were not winning and running with them to cheer them on. Thank you everyone for being so kind to everyone and making this an amazing day!🏃😀👍
Maximillian, Year 6
Thank you to all the teachers and parents who came and helped the event take place. Thank you to all the students for trying your best.
Victor, Year 6
On Monday the 3-6 had Dendy Swimming. It was held at the Oakley Recreation Centre in the outdoor pool. There were eight other schools there and we were allocated with lane 1. We did a warm-up at the start and then went into the medleys. After that were all the other strokes like freestyle and backstroke then breaststroke and finally, the hardest stroke, butterfly. We then finished with the freestyle relay. In the end, we got 2nd in the percentage and 8th overall.
Congratulations to all the kids that got through to divisions, which will be held on the 7th of March at Oakley Recreation Centre in the outdoor pool.
A huge congratulations (and good luck) to the following students:
Well done to the whole SJM team, you all did an amazing job!!
