Due to the Labour Day public holiday, we will not have our library session on Monday. Library will resume in Week 8.
Devices
We ask that students please bring their devices charged to school each day. Thank you so much for your support.

Reminders:
Homework
Thank you for your continued support in instilling a strong homework routine for your child. It is wonderful to see so many faces on our Mathseeds posters each week.
The expectation is 1 lesson of Mathseeds completed a week (Sunday - Saturday). Please remember that Sunday starts the new week.
The other homework expectation is reading 4 nights for 15 minutes. This is to be written in your child's diary and signed. Diaries should come to school every day.
Devices
Our Year 2 students really enjoy engaging with our programs (Maths Invaders and Reading Eggspress just to name a few). When your child forgets their iPad or it is on a low percentage/flat, this restricts their engagement. Thank you for your continued support in creating a home routine with your child which involves charging their iPad and placing it in their bag.

Reminders:
NAPLAN
Over the next two weeks our wonderful Year 3 students will sit their first NAPLAN tests. We ask that you please ensure that your child arrives to school on time every day but especially so over the next couple of weeks. This will support students to have a calm and settled start to the morning. As students will require their devices during these assessments it is important that they are fully charged each day.
Reminders:
Mathletics Homework
Last week we were so impressed that 59 out of 61 students completed their Mathletics homework. We are hoping for 100% this week!
AR Targets
Students have less than three weeks to reach their Accelerated Reader points target. It is great to see so many students on track with their target after completing their reading each night and taking quizzes in the mornings. Please check in with your child about their progress towards their target.

Reminders:
Times Tables:
Each week the students will be asked to practise different times tables at home, and these will be tested on a Friday, alongside their Spelling test. The multiplication times tables can be found at the back of the student’s diary.
Accelerated Reading Targets:
Students have set their reading volume targets with their teacher and should be 70% towards achieving it.
NAPLAN:
NAPLAN will take place next week and the week after (week 7 and 8). Please continue to do the family snapshot at home - every bit of practise helps!
