Art

Welcome Artists and families to 2025 and a new year of creating amazing artworks together!

This year we welcome Miss Howell to the art-room and welcome back Mrs Goodwin after her year of family leave, she’ll be working mostly with our youngest artists in Prep. We are all so excited to be working with your children and helping celebrate their creativity.

If you haven’t purchased an Art smock yet, can we please request that you do so to protect your children’s school uniforms. The classroom teachers have tubs for them to be stored in. Please don’t forget to label them with your child’s name.

Students in grade 3-6 bring sketchbooks to their Art classes for them to explore their ideas before creating a final artwork. These are a part of the stationary packs, however if you are purchasing stationary yourself could you please get one for your child? I don’t mind if they’re A4 or A3 size.

If you have any questions, feel free to contact me Justine.carlin@education.vic.gov.au

We look forward to sharing students’ endeavours and creativity in the coming weeks.

We are thrilled to welcome our newest Prep students to the school community! This week, they’ve had a fantastic start, engaging in a series of fun activities designed to boost their fine motor skills. From threading beads to building with small blocks, these hands-on exercises are not only enjoyable but essential in helping develop their coordination and dexterity. It’s been wonderful watching them dive in with enthusiasm and curiosity.

We look forward to watching them grow and explore new challenges as the year progresses!
