Wellbeing

Mrs Melina James

Dear Parents, Carers and Students,

Welcome back to a new school year! I hope you all had a restful and joyful holiday break. It has been wonderful to see our students return with such enthusiasm, ready for another year of learning, growth and connection.

This year, we will continue our focus on the 24 character strengths, helping our students develop important qualities that support their wellbeing and relationships. In a few weeks, our whole school focus will be on fairness—what it looks like in our classrooms, on the playground and in our wider community. Through discussions, activities and daily interactions, we will explore how fairness helps us create an inclusive and supportive school environment where everyone feels valued.

To extend this focus beyond the school day there will also be a 'Family Connection Task'. This is an opportunity for families to come together and engage in an activity at home that encourages fairness in action. More details will be shared closer the week beginning 23 February.

Thank you for your ongoing support in fostering a school culture that encourages kindness, respect, and resilience. I look forward to another fantastic year of learning and thriving together.

Warm regards,

Melina
