The Resilience Project at St. John’s
Our staff have recently completed their initial professional learning for The Resilience Project (TRP), and we are excited to have begun our first lessons in the classrooms. This important program supports our students’ wellbeing by fostering Gratitude, Empathy, and Mindfulness (GEM), key pillars proven to enhance happiness, resilience and overall mental health.
Through engaging and creative lessons, students are exploring practical ways to develop a positive mindset, build strong relationships and manage emotions. One key element of TRP is the use of student journals, where children reflect on their daily experiences, celebrate small moments of joy and practice gratitude.
Our partnership with The Resilience Project is an important step in supporting the emotional and social development of our students. We encourage families to continue these conversations at home by discussing moments of gratitude, acts of kindness, and ways to be present in everyday life. Together, we can create a community that prioritises wellbeing and fosters lifelong resilience.
