POSITIVE BEHAVIOUR FOR LEARNING

T2 2024

Our school have been fortunate to be a part of a statewide project which is supporting us to continue to review and refine our behaviour education approach. We still use Play is the Way games and language to teach and reinforce our values and have added our high behaviour expectations of – We are Respectful, We are Inclusive, We are Learners.

We have developed a matrix of behaviours that we actively teach our learners across the year, see below.

As part of this process, we identify key behaviour goals for the whole school to focus on. We teach these behaviours, monitor, provide feedback, and acknowledge students by awarding house points when they display the positive behaviours.

This term our behaviour goal has been on ‘allow all adults to teach and students to learn!’

Our students suggest and vote on a whole school acknowledgement activity to celebrate when we reach our behaviour goals – last term students voted on a PJ Day and will be voting on this term’s celebration soon! Families will be notified via socials to let you know what activity our wonderful learners chose!
