Year 7 to Year 9
With the start of Semester Two on Monday, it was fantastic to see students and staff returning to school refreshed and ready for another exciting term. We are all looking forward to our long-awaited Sports Carnival being held next Wednesday, 24th of July on our new school grounds. Put your supportive colours on and be prepared to cheer loudly!
This week, we will celebrate our amazing students who have led by example showcasing our Salvado values. We will be recognising the top 10% Merit recipients for each year group. These students will be celebrated at Friday’s Secondary Assembly and then enjoy a pizza lunch on Monday. Students will continue to be recognised for being the best versions of themselves throughout the term.
At the beginning of the holidays, the Semester One Reports were sent out to our families. If required, teachers may have requested an interview and on Monday 15 July, the bookings were opened for you to select a time to speak with relevant teachers. Please ensure you go onto the link and set up a time to discuss your questions or concerns. Please be aware, time slots are filling fast!
Students at Salvado Catholic College are recognised for their outstanding effort by showing a commitment to all their academic disciplines. These students do not have to achieve A grades to be eligible; it is centred around students being excellent young people who engage in their classes and are recognised by their teachers for their willingness to learn. To be a recipient, a student must have received a majority of 'Outstanding' or 'Very Good' in their Approach to Learning in ALL of their subjects in their Semester One Report, which includes: Organisation, Engagement in learning, Strives for their best in all tasks, Contribution to the learning environment and Completion of home studies. The recipients for 2024 are:
Year 7 | Year 8 | Year 9 | Year 10 |
---|---|---|---|
Megan Bailey | Ruby Bennett | Lily Evans | Gabriel Chase |
Makala Bruton | Emelia Branche | Mitchell Hillyard | Xavier Young |
Nathaniel Kalenge | Cooper Riley | Xavia Mills | Isabella Tafua |
