Early Years News

Welcome back to Term Three Early Years families!

It was wonderful to see all of the students arrive on their first day back with big smiles on their faces. I hope all our Early Years families had a restful winter holiday break.

This term we have lots of exciting events happening and we are encouraging parent helpers in all Learning Spaces. Please ensure that you complete the Parent Volunteer training on the College website.

This term we have had some staffing changes and seven new students across Pre-Kindy to Year Two. We warmly welcome all our new staff and students to our College. Special welcomes go to Miss Arfuso, previously our Arts Specialist who will be teaching in Year One Red; Mrs Priscilla Hawthorne who will be teaching in Year Two Grey and Mrs Jaye Wilkie who will be teaching Physical Education.

This week our students have been part of many different celebrations for NAIDOC week. They have also been completing educational and fun activities in their Learning Spaces and around the College. The Learning Space displays all look fantastic and I would like to acknowledge the hard work of all staff for completing this within such a short time frame.

Our Kindy and Pre Primary students took part in a special Liturgy on Wednesday, while our Year One and Two students attended Masses.

Upcoming events in Weeks One - Three:

EduDance for Pre Primary to Year Six students starts this Friday. Please be mindful some classes will have their first dance lesson next Monday. These lessons will continue on Monday and Friday throughout the term, with a special showcase event being held on Wednesday 11 September.

There will be a Friends of Salvado (FoS) meeting on Friday 26 July at 9.00am. All parents are welcome to attend.

The College will be celebrating Languages Week during Week Three this term.
