It has been a very busy Term 2 with many events happening in the Primary Setting. Here are some fun highlights of our term.

Public speaking

Our Year 5 and 6 students had the opportunity to participate in the CSEN Public Speaking competition against other schools in our network. We had a very early start to the day as we had to cross over to the East. The competition involved students preparing a 2-to-3-minute speech that they delivered to an audience. They had worked with Mrs Cerf in the lead up to hone their speeches and to be the best they could be. They presented their speeches, judged on their stage presence and the quality of their arguments. They then had 3 minutes to prepare an impromptu speech and repeat the process. We are very proud of how they passionately shared their speeches! Our College made it to the top 3! Well done to everyone involved!

Lego club

This is a new club set up by some of our Year 5 students. The participants are given a topic of what to make and are given 20 mins to create their best creation. The students collaborate with each other and encourage one another in the process. Once the time is up students then get to show off their Lego and it is voted on to see who has made the best build. They then get their photo taken and it is put up for display on Schoolbox.

Chapel Services

During Chapel Services (Prep -Year 2 and Year 3-6) in Term 2, our students were given an opportunity to have wonderful performances. Students have created and acted out plays, demonstrated dances and spoken with confidence.  It is also great to see parents and friends coming along to participate in Chapel services.

As the semester comes to an end, I pray that all families have a well-deserved break and get to spend time together safely. We look forward to another jam-packed second semester which involves three (3) primary camps, fun class excursions, sporting events and so much more. Be blessed and come back refreshed!
