Message from the School Chaplain

Belinda Dawson

Dear Christway College- Wyndham Community,

I am delighted to introduce myself as your new school chaplain. My name is Miss Belinda Dawson, and I am excited to embark on this journey with all of you, supporting and nurturing our vibrant school community.

I would like to share some of the key initiatives and programs that I will be facilitating alongside Mr Mark Goode, Head of Christian Life and Mission:

Prayer Room: Starting from Term 3, we will be operating a dedicated Prayer space, more details regarding this space will be shared in the future leading up to the launch.

Chapels: I will be working closely with Mr Goode to facilitate all three of our weekly chapel services, ensuring they are meaningful and enriching experiences for everyone.

Discipleship Programs: I will be leading a range of discipleship and faith formation programs and clubs. Our first initiative will be a lunchtime discipleship Bible study for Year 9 girls, with many more programs to follow, including Youth Alpha and a kids' equivalent, among others.

Faith Formation Mentoring (FFM): I will be available to work with students both one-on-one and in small groups for faith formation mentoring.

Pastoral Presence: My goal is to be a supportive pastoral presence for the entire Christway College Wyndham community, offering encouragement and guidance whenever needed.

I am deeply grateful to Head of Campus Ms Kerrie Neophytou, Mr Mark Goode, and Executive Principal Mr Damain Higgins for their support and the opportunity to serve in this role. I look forward to getting to know each of the students and working alongside them and the wider community of Christway College Wyndham in their faith journey.

Blessings,

Miss  Belinda Dawson
