We enjoyed the winter sun as we tackled our gardening tasks today. 

Thanks to our friends at Just Planet in Sunbury we had coffee grounds to sprinkle around our young brassicas and lettuce to deter snails and slugs from eating them before we can.

We continued Sue's moon planting experiment and planted the other basil plant this week. We are very curious to see what happens.

We also sowed flower, vegetable and herb seeds in punnets which will be looked after by Miss Boyce's 1/2 class until they're big enough to plant out.

We even had time for a leaf scavenger hunt - there are so many beautiful shapes and colours decorating our school this season!
