Learning Power Award Recipients

Congratulations to students who have been recognised by staff for their demonstration of one or many of the 6 Learning Powers celebrated at SMDP.

On Monday during our whole school assembly, the following students were acknowledged and their learning described so we all know why they are worthy recipients of our awards and applause.

Felicia

For being a motivated learner who demonstrated the St Martins way of doing her best and a little bit more.  When learning about Mass she recorded which bag was the heaviest to the lightest showing that she understood how to heft. When writing her Information Text she used words from around the room to write sentences that matched her detailed drawings.  Well done Felicia, you should feel proud of yourself.

For being a cooperative student who consistently collaborates well with classmates. You are always the first to offer assistance when someone needs it, as demonstrated in your willingness to assist with classroom jobs last week. Your eagerness to help others understand concepts and your willingness to share resources make you an invaluable team player. Your kindness and support create a positive and inclusive learning environment. This is wonderful to see! Well done, Havish; you should be very proud of yourself!

For being a collaborative learner who is always looking for ways to support others. Meron never hesitates to lend a helping hand to her peers and teachers, and does so with a smile. Your kind and helpful nature helps make our classroom a safe and happy place to learn. Thank you, Meron!

For being a collaborative camp member at Anglesea! Claudia’s behaviour and motivation at camp was exemplary. She demonstrated strong collaboration skills and led her group through challenging scavenger hunts, using her creativity to solve clues. Well done Claudia!

Your natural disaster and adaptations of living things slideshow demonstrates a strong understanding of the theme. Well done Charit, you should be proud of your efforts.

For being a curious learner, while researching Komodo Dragons. You used all available resources to help you find fascinating facts. You then used those facts to write an engaging introduction for your information report. I can’t wait to read your finished report! Keep up this motivated attitude towards your learning Diamond!
