Teaching and Learning

End of Term and School Holidays

This has been a long 11 week term and all the students have done an amazing job to remain focused and try their best.

During the school holidays it is important for the students to take time and rest, in order to be ready for term 3.

We encourage all students to continue to read daily over the school holidays to help maintain their stamina for reading.

Reports

Student reports will be released later this week. There are some important things to note within this report:

  • It provides a snapshot of the learning each student has achieved this semester. Everyone should be proud of what their child has achieved this term.
  • St. Mary's is currently into our third year of offering Auslan instruction. As such, there will be no Auslan progression point for students in Years 4-6 as they have had limited access to this curriculum area to assess their progress accurately. The Foundation-Grade 3 students will have a progression point.
  • There have been changes to the way that we report in Mathematics. Please read the attached letter regarding the changes.
