Jesus Calms the Storm
In Mark 4:35-41, Jesus and His disciples set out across the Sea of Galilee. A fierce storm arises, and while the disciples panic, Jesus sleeps peacefully. They wake Him, crying, "Teacher, don’t you care if we drown?"
Jesus responds by calming the storm with a command, "Quiet! Be still!" The wind ceases, and there is a great calm. He then asks His disciples, "Why are you so afraid? Do you still have no faith?" Their awe at His power prompts them to ask, "Who is this? Even the wind and the waves obey him!"
This passage reminds us of Jesus' authority over creation and His presence in our lives. The storms we face are opportunities to deepen our faith. Jesus' question challenges us to trust Him, not only for His power but for His presence with us through life's tempests. His command brings peace to the external chaos and the inner turmoil of our hearts, inviting us to a deeper trust in His divine care.
Let us Pray

We ask you to give us all around peace in our mind, body, soul and spirit.
We want you to heal and remove everything that is causing stress, grief, and sorrow in our lives. Please guide our path through life and make our enemies be at peace with us.
