3/4 CLASSROOM

This fortnight the grade 3/4 students have been busy little bees working hard to complete their ERP's ready for tomorrow's ERP expo. We are very excited to share our learning on our unit 'design'. This term's ERPs look a little different to previous terms. We have been focusing on design briefs and meeting the criteria to design something for someone else. Some considerations we have had to make are the person's hobbies and interests as well as making the piece functional. Everyone has worked really hard and has paid a lot of attention to detail when constructing.

Following on from our Legoland whole school excursion we have been creating narratives using lego stop motion. These have come together really well, we look forward to sharing these with our friends and families.

Our maths lessons have had a shake up recently making changes to the structure of our lesson and retrieval of previous learning tasks. I have seen a huge improvement in everyone's ability to absorb and retain their maths learning. We have been focusing on using more concrete materials to help us process and understand our maths. As a class we all agree that maths is 'better' and 'more fun' than it used to be which is really positive to hear.
