Reader’s and Writer’s workshop: We will begin to unpack persuasive texts and practice planning and writing our own.

Mathematics: We will continue to explore addition and subtractions strategies through games and revisit Place Value.

Unit of Inquiry: We have now started looking at how artists express themselves using various art forms. We will then follow on with dance and how we express ourselves through movement.

Throughout this year we will be exploring how our digital actions influence our identity, relationships, and wellbeing.

Reminders

As part of our commitment to celebrating the rich cultural diversity within our school community, we invite you to complete this short survey about your family’s cultural background and your child’s sense of belonging at school. Your insights will help us ensure that every student feels seen, valued and included. We are also seeking parent support for our upcoming Harmony Day celebrations and would love to know if you are able to contribute in any way. Thank you for partnering with us as we continue to nurture a welcoming and inclusive community for all.

Premier’s Reading Challenge: This year in the 3/4 cluster, students will have their own individual records to track the books they read. Students are required to read eight books from the book list and four free choice books. The full list of suitable books for your child can be found online at this link:  https://premiersreadingchallenge.sa.edu.au/book-list/

As you read books at home, please feel free to email them to me so I can help your child to add them to their list or alternatively feel free to visit the classroom before or after school to add them to the list with your child. The recording sheets will be kept at school.  We will also aim to read some books as a class to help to complete our records.
